Before the UEFA Europa league qualification games FC Žalgiris strengthened the ranks of goalkeepers. Green and Whites signed a contract with former player of Žalgiris Armantas Vitkauskas.

29-years-old Vitkauskas played for Žalgiris from 2012 untill 2018. During this span he played in 185 official games and won with a team 15 trophies in a row. After unsuccesfull finish of last season Vitkauskas moved to Romania and signed contract with „CS Concordia Chiajna“ team. He played two games in Romanian championship and in the summer decided to come back to Lithuania.
Vitkauskas will bring his experience and stability to Žalgiris team and will be used as a backup for the main goalkeeper Džiugas Bartkus.
