Brazevich came to Žalgiris at the 24th October, when former head coach Valdas Dambrauskas decided to step down after tough loss in Marijampolė. 44-year-old football specialist from Belarus was in charge for 5 final A league games. During his time Vilnius team won three and lost two games. Ironicaly, last game was in Marijampolė against FC Sūduva. Žalgiris lost 0:3 and ended the season as the second team in A league.
Therefore next year FC Žagiri will start a fight for the titles with new head coach. 44-year-old Skarbalius started his professional career in Žalgiris and played there from 1991 untill 1994. Year later he moved to Denmark. He spent 10 seasons with Bronby IF club and finished his career in Herfolge BK team. As a head coach he worked in various Danish teams – Herfolge, HB Koge, Brondby IF, Haslev FC, Viborg FF. From 2015 till summer 2017 Auri worked with Brondby IF youth (under 19) team.
„It was my childhood dream – to manage Žalgiris team. I am very happy that now I will have a chance to start writing a new chapter of Žalgiris history“, – said Skarbalius, after singning three-year contract with a club.
