FC Žalgiris winning streak ended in the 31st round of A league. On 4th of November Vilnius side met with FC Jonava and suffered a tough loss 2:4 (1:3).

For Jonava it was a first ever victory against Žalgiris. Guests took the lead on 7th minute, when Maksym Marusych scored after the counterattack. Although, Žalgiris on 18th minute put an equalizer after Mamadou Mbodj header, but after three minutes Marusych converted a penalty kick and brought advantage to Jonava side.
First half finished with one more deadly counterattack from Jonava. This time Klaudijus Upstas ran away from Žalgiris defenders and sent the ball past keeper Armandas Vitkauskas. In the second half, Žalgiris players tried to change the flow of the game and with 14 minutes to go Liviu Antal made the score 2:3. However, Jonava hold off Žalgiris pressure and with one more succesfull counterattack and made the final score 4:2.
Nevertheless, this loss didn‘t harm Žalgiris position in A league, because the main rival of Vilnius side FC Sūduva lost its mach against FC Trakai 0:1. With two games to go, FC Žalgiris managed to stay one point behind Sūduva Marijampolė.
