Valdas Dambrauskas was almost three years as a coach of FC Žalgiris, however, after the loss in Marijampolė he decided to leave the Vilnius side.

The new coach was introduced on Tuesday – 44-year-old football specialist from Belarus Aleksandr Brazevich earlier worked in Lithuanian and his native country clubs. In 2007–2008 season, he was in the coaching staff of FBK Kaunas and later two times worked in Tauras Tauragė.

Brazevich came to Vilnius from BATE Borisov, as he was the sporting director of this club.

His debut will take place in Klaipėda, where Žalgiris will face up Atlantas in the 29th round of A league.
