FC Žalgiris suffered its third loss in this year's Lithuanian championship, while losing 0:1 to the second-placed Trakai in the 27th round of A league.

The game deciding goal was scored on 34 minutes, when former Everton and Lokomotiv Moscow midfielder Dinyar Bilyaetdinov received a low ball from Michailo Shyshka and sent the ball into the back of the net. On 41 minutes Žalgiris could level up the score, however, the penalty kick, which was taken by Mantas Kuklys, was parried by the Trakai goalkeeper Timofey Sheremeta.
In the second half, Trakai side managed to hold a positive result, despite the sharp attacks by the hosts. Once Žalgiris midfielder Matija Ljujič was face-to-face with Sheremeta, nevertheless, Trakai goalkeeper saved his team from the equalizing goal.
