FC Žalgiris was near the seventh in a row LFF Cup trophy, unfortunately, Lithuanian champions after the conceded goal in the second half 0:1 lost to Stumbras Kaunas.

Kaunas side achieved its first trophy in the club's history after the goal, which was scored on 84 minutes. Nasro Bouchareb took his chance and calmly steered the ball past goalkeeper Armantas Vitkauskas. After that, Žalgiris attacked a lot but couldn't score an equalizer, thus Stumbras secured the place in the next season's Europa League.
