FC Žalgiris didn't win in the last three A league matches and lost a friendly game against Latvian side Liepaja, but the bad streak now is history. Lithuanian champions came back storming, while beating Atlantas by scoreline 3:0.

Hosts started the game very intensely and scored once in the first half. After the corner the header by Darvydas Šernas was saved, however, the ball bounced from few Atlantas players and after the last touch, made by Markas Beneta on 23 minutes, the ball crossed the line.
Right away after the break Žalgiris doubled their lead – Šernas received a good pass from Serge Nyuiadzi, made a run into the penalty box and scored his 7th goal of the season. Moreover, Žalgiris striker on 59 minutes again hit the ball in the back of the net.
Also, on 80 minutes Mahamane Traore stepped into the game and made a long-awaited debut in the 15th round of A league.
