In his last game with FC Žalgiris Serge Nyuiadzi scored a goal and contributed to the impressive victory (7:2) against Kauno Spyris in LFF Cup tournament. On Wednesday he returned and helped Žalgiris to overcame fierce rivals from Trakai.

Togo-born French winger played at Žalgiris from the summer 2013 till the end of 2015. During his spell he took part in 83 games, scored 22 goals and made 23 assists. After the last game against Trakai he has 24 assists
Nyuiadzi started previous year in Turkey, playing in second-tier 1461 Trabzon, but after the season he returned to France as a free agent. On the 10th of March he arrived to Vilnius and immediately signed new contract with Žalgiris. After three weeks of intensive training sessions Serge got the first taste of A league football. During the game against Trakai he came as a substitute and on 87 minutes and made an assist to Vytautas Lukša, who hammered the ball into the net. Žalgiris won this game 1:0 and with 9 points after 4 games established itself at the first place of A league.
"Today was a good game, everything went according to our plan. Trakai is a tough opponent, but we won and that is the most important thing. I am happy that I have a chance to play for Žalgiris. It is good to be back, to wear green and white Žalgiris shirt and see happy people in the stadium. For me it is a new start, new begining and I hope everything will be good,“ said Nyuiadzi.
The game against Trakai marked not only the return of Nyuiadzi. It was first official game for Komnen Andrič. 21-year-old forward from Serbia recovered from an injury and started the match in the main squad. Although he failed to score, but still managed to keep the constant pressure on the Trakai defensive line.

"I had two good opportunities, but the realization was poor. I lost one month because of injury, so I really need some time to recover. Basically, I need to practice, play with the team and goals will come soon,“ said Andrič after the game.
