Lithuanian football powerhouse FC Žalgiris has signed Togo-born French winger Serge Nyuiadzi, who returned to Vilnius after the one year break.

Nyuiadzi started his professional career in France for OGC Nice. On September 2012, he moved to CSKA Sofia, however, after a year in Bulgaria he signed a contract with Žalgiris. During the spell with Lithuanian champions Nyuiadzi played 83 games, scored 22 goals and made 23 assists.
Nyuiadzi started his previous year in Turkey, playing in the second-tier 1461 Trabzon. After the season he returned to France as a free agent. He will arrive to Vilnius on Thursday and will join the training sessions shortly. Žalgiris sporting director Mindaugas Nikoličius said that Nyuiadzi will bring experience and competitive spirit to the team.
"We are happy to welcome Serge back to Žalgiris. He had a good two and a half year spell in Vilnius and helped the teamwin multiple titles in Lithuanian championship and LFF Cup tournaments. He knows the town, the team and the players very well, thus he didn't need a lot of time for acclimatization. We think that he will be a valuable addition to our roster and will make us a better team,“ told Nikoličius.
