"If the club invites me, it would be a big pleasure to come back," said Darvydas Šernas, who later returned to Žalgiris after a one year break.

In 2015, Šernas immediately became a very strong force in Lithuanian championship. Forward scored 17 goals in just 16 A lyga appearances and for the first time lifted Lithuanian championship trophy in his hands.

After that Lithuanian international signed a contract with second-tier Turkish team Alanyaspor, however, he played just four games and didn‘t have a chance to show his skills on the pitch.

Žalgiris sporting director Mindaugas Nikoličius was happy that the experienced striker is back in Vilnius.

"We know him really well and know what to expect. Despite being 32-year-old, you can feel his strong ambitions. It‘s the most important thing for us now. He will play in Vilnius this year,“ said Nikoličius.
