FK Žalgiris Vilnius has strengthened its squad by purchasing a defender Pape Mamadou Mbodj. 22 year old Senegalese has signed a long-term contract.

„We were searching for reinforcements in defending area for a long time and we picked this player from a lot of candidates. This high-class player will create a healthy competition with other defenders“, - said the club‘s sporting director Mindaugas Nikoličius.

M. Mbodj came to Europe in 2014 when he signed for Crvena Zvezda, later he was loaned to another Serbian club Napredak. He also played for Senegal U-20 and U-23 National teams.
