FK Žalgiris Vilnius have officially parted ways with two players: defender Semir Kerla and striker Darvydas Šernas.
Lithuanian attacker, who scored 17 goals in 16 appearances last season, has signed a contract with Turkish second division club Alanyaspor. Semir Kerla, who played 48 games and bagged 5 goals and 3 assists for FK Žalgiris, has become a free agent.
“We had an agreement with Darvydas until the end of 2015 and were near signing him for a longer contract. But Alanyaspor offered him an outstanding contract, which he could not resist. We are happy for him, wish him luck and we are already waiting for him to come back to the club in the future.
We also decided not to renew Semir’s contractand the player himself wanted to seek another challenge”, - said club’s sporting director Mindaugas Nikoličius.
