Experienced goalkeeper Saulius Klevinskas is back in Vilnius „Žalgiris“. Klevinskas left Lithuanian champions for Russian league in 2011, but now he will wear the green and white shirt again

The 30-year old footballer from Marijampolė, who played for Lithuanian youth and men‘s team, will replace back-up goalkeeper Aivaras Bražinskas, who left the club earlier.

„We are really happy, that Saulius is back in the club. He played for us only for a hal of the year, but he showed us that he is a professional player and a high class goalkeeper“, - told „Žalgiris“ sporting director Mindaugas Nikoličius.

Along with Klevinskas, Lukas Lidakevičius will join the team for the upcomming season. Lidakevičius spent the last half of the season on loan at „Klaipėda Granitas“.

„Saulius‘s and Lukas‘s return to the club will create a proper competition for Armantas (current „Žalgiris“ keeper) in the goalkeeping spot. These players will have to gain their spot in the starting eleven and show their worth to the new manager“, - M. Nikoličius added.

The second club‘s addition Saulius Klevinskas played more than 50 games in Moscow „Torped“ club and received the best goalkeeper of the year award in Russian first division in 2011 season.
