Žalgiris decided to sign 27 years old Croatian Vedrac Gerc who participated in training camp at his native country at the beginning of February

The forward started his professional career at hometown team HNK Rijeka in 2004.

During 7 years in the club V.Gerc appeared in 30 matches and scored 6 goals.


Player joined NK Zadar team in 2011. After a year spent in Zadar Croatian moved to NK Karlovac.


Last season V.Gerc finished in Malaysia, Kedah FA team. This career stop was successful for striker – during 15 games he scored 9 goals.


V.Gerc is happy to join Žalgiris: "I am glad to become a member of Žalgiris team. I hope I will be an important part of this strong club and help to reach the goals. I will give my best, that’s why I am here” – said Croatian after signing contract with Žalgiris Vilnius.


Vedran had first chance to show his skills to Lithuanian fans during Lithuanian Football Federation Super Cup match against champions Ekranas Panevėžys on Saturday, the 2nd of March in Marijampolė.

Striker played 41 minute, including extra time in successful finished match which Žalgiris won by 1-0.
